The pleasure we seek through Idolatry only numbs our hearts for a time.
But that numbing sensation is like a bandaid on a bullet wound.
Only a thankful heart, for what Christ has given us fills us with the needed Joy to remain free in His victory over Satan and the world.

Booze, drugs, sex, food, steroids, even motorcycles become our god if we seek escape through them instead of the salvation we find through the cross.

Gentlemen, stay in His Word, stay in prayer, stay the course. Weeping endures for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
