Be Still…

Our inability to listen and hear God comes from a place of fear or pride. Allowing the Lords peace (shalom) to settle on us, and listen to his commands is hindered by our overactiveness which can be rooted in distrust or nervousness.

There are times in prayer I want to do all the talking. Praying down heaven in intercessor prayer is beautiful, and part of our calling, but listening for his voice and following his commands is greater.
In order for us to listen for His voice we must surrender our will and our own voice. “Be still, and know that I AM God”
Overactiveness is usually a sign of chaos, and where chaos dwells, order is absent.

The Lords peace has always allowed for all my “thoughts to become captive to the obedience of Christ.
Our God is a God of peace, Order and Freedom!
Be still right where you are…let His peace reign, Let His order establish your ways, and let liberty flood your hearts and minds!

I Corinthians 14:33 NKJV
[33] For God is not the  author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
II Corinthians 3:17 NKJV
[17] Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is  liberty.
