Happy International Woman’s day!

On this International Woman’s day I found myself typing “Jesus washes a woman’s feet” in my A.I. art generator. I think it’s quite fitting on a day when women are being celebrated. I believe there is much to be said about it that we all know, but won’t say to one another, and that’s the Problem!

Recently I have seen many social media posts from women decrying the apostle Paul’s words in 1 Tim 2:12  “But I do not allow a woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence.” Oof, this has got to be a rough thing for a prideful woman to first read, however once we start “Cherry-picking” the gospel things can end on a slippery slope. So where do we go? What shall we do? Who will we be? Men just looking down on women? “BE QUIET, WOMAN” does not sound like Jesus to me.

Satan targeted Eve in the Garden of Eden, we know that Adam was right there and did nothing, but it is interesting the dialogue was between the Woman and the Serpent. I believe this speaks of the God head, if Adam had done his job and trampled that serpent things would be different. Instead, his soft spot, his Love for Eve made him go along with her choice. Eve was the only way the enemy could bring Adam down, and he figured it out! Us men are guilty of the same crime to this day. When we do nothing, when we do not step up, when we would rather please our Woman than tell her “No, that’s not what God told us” We fail everything.

Getting back to Paul saying “to exercise authority over a man” He is clearly reminding us that God established the “God-Head” order for a reason. A prideful woman will try to exercise authority over a man. A man can submit to a woman spiritually, but for what reason? Your Mom? UH YEAH! IMAGINE ME TELLING MY MOTHER SHE HAS NO AUTHORITY OVER ME?!?!? What about elders in a church? We submit to them, we ask them for prayer, not just bake sale cookies! I have Women mentors in the ministry I volunteer with, am I so much a man that I am above them? Get out of here….

The early church was persecuted so greatly that to imagine that only men were martyrs is ignorant. Yes, the apostles were men, and their deaths are documented, but until the Edict of Milan the blood of Christian women was spilt too. In the church I see today, men are so lack that God uses women to carry the church while boys are busy on their Play station’s.

Moving forward, the church must address this. We can not grow by discounting women, but we must be faithful to Gods will. The authority God places on a Man must be embraced with the responsibility that comes with it, and the more we allow immaturity to continue in our youth onto their middle age, the more the problem will compound!

The answer is in Men stepping up, unlike Adam. Tyrannical roles in relationships is for immature, weak BOYS. Time to return to being MEN OF GOD! On this international Woman’s day, lets celebrate women by answering the call to be MEN of GOD!

-Be Blessed!
