What exactly is “Inner-Healing” and why do we need it? Inner healing is the process of spiritual healing after being delivered from strongholds, bondage, and any demonic influence. It is a prayer session that begins or continues someone along a healing path. It targets areas of trauma, abuse, unforgiveness, or any form of legal rights. It is an encounter with Jesus for him to set you free!

What we are currently facing in our world today is a massive rise of sexual immorality, adultery, transgenderism, human trafficking, genocide through abortion, witchcraft, and Satanism. Mass transit and the IOT have made the world a much smaller place, information and travel happen so quickly that man no longer needs to achieve to survive. The current level of idolatry is so heinous that people rarely even know what that means. Political idealism is the new Kool-Aid cult. Our technology has grown so rapidly that science has become its own religion, a large portion of the population openly rejects the need for God. The enemy has worked very hard to get us to this point, and he is “all in” it seems.

This has all created an environment for much disbelief, lack of faith, and most importantly spiritual pain and suffering. The spiritual trauma being perpetrated upon God’s people has accelerated so intensely, that it has drastically increased the already strained ministry of deliverance. Inner healing has become a necessity for an extension of traditional deliverance sessions, even exorcisms.

I have benefitted from Inner-Healing so much that I was just a huge supporter of the ministry. Two years before this writing I had finally been called prophetically to apply for the team. A brother of mine came out of a multi-month coma from COVID-19. He flat-lined twice, had tremendous visions, he finally woke up with prophetic messages for ministers that are friends of his, and he even told me that it was time to join the team. I applied for the training, and the team graciously accepted me. Our teams consist of two to three people praying together. We interview a Beloved and ask about their background for any areas that need to be healed. The second part of the session we call Encountering Jesus. We pray for the spirit to Jesus to meet us and show the beloved what needs to be seen to be healed

  Eventually, I would hear the Lord in prayer direct me to Bible college to prepare for Seminary, focusing on inner healing while working on my studies. I can only assume he is utilizing me to do this because of what I have been through, which is its dark testimony. Knowing full well what Jesus will do to heal his people is exactly why I love what I do now. “To set the captives free”

Inner-Healing is a form of Deliverance, the locating, and canceling of any Legal right the enemy has to torment someone’s life. (John 14:13-14) It is the pouring of Christ’s Love into an area of someone’s life that the enemy still has a voice in. (John 16:24) It is the breaking of chains that hold demonic negativity preventing freedom in a Beloved’s life. (Psalm 2:3) It is the trampling of the serpents that continue to poison someone’s life! (Luke 10:19) It is the demolition of strongholds! (2 Cor 10:1)

What it is not, is a counseling session, where we do all the work using our intuition to analyze what is wrong with someone, nor is it a traditional exorcism calling the demon out to manifestation. The presence of God does most assuredly trigger a demonic manifestation, but an Inner-Healing session usually deals with the demonic in a Beloved’s life through something Jesus shows us.

What we do in a session is pray for Jesus to come to show the Beloved how much he loves them, and what he thinks of them. Our prayer team asks the Beloved to talk to Jesus and ask what he wants to show them. This can be anything from meeting on a beach or even the mountains. During this time with Jesus traumas can come up, moments of pain that need forgiveness, happy childhood memories reminding them of a wonderful time, terrible moments that have caused decades of torment, and even suppressed memories can be brought to the surface. Jesus can do anything he wants, and he most definitely wants to heal his people and set them free.

This might be where theology turns some Christians away from what we do. The encounter with Jesus is spiritual, and prophetic through the Holy Spirit. Some denominations might even call it witchcraft or even suggest it is of the occult. They believe that the works of the spirit no longer exist, and were only privy to the time of the apostles. I was even one of these types of believers until I had my own experience. The healing and Freedom I have experienced and seen in others is so amazing, that I pray for these Christians to come in for a session to have a spirit of religion broken off of them! 

Secular Psychology tries to do the Lord’s work by suggesting that our “Inner-Child” needs healing. If this approach helps anyone, then I fully embrace it, after all, I care more about someone’s healing journey than my vanities, and I have faith the Lord will be with them. I and our team do not and will never discourage anyone from counseling or discontinuing psychiatric treatment, but we do believe in the spiritual. If we can help heal someone from spiritual bondage we will. Working with counselors can only benefit someone’s healing, we just add a little extra prayer.

Numerous Deliverance ministers and exorcists attest to the need to heal inwardly. From Derek Prince to John Ramirez, these men who cast out demons regularly also pointed out the need for continued healing after the initial driving out of the demonic. Dr. Bob Larson a renowned Exorcist distinguishes between an Exorcism, mental illness, and the need for Inner Healing. Dr. Frank Hammond with his wife Ida Mae Hammond, who were deliverance ministers, wrote books on the matter of healing after being set free. Just doing a Google search on “Inner-Healing” will bring up numerous churches and ministries that advocate and administer Inner-healing. It appears as if there is an acceleration of demonic work against man, as our society drifts further from God’s ways. The Bible gives us countless examples of man turning from God only to end with calamity and pain. Our Pride is our rebellion, our rebellion is joining forces with the world’s rebellion against the throne of God. Is it that shocking to believe that all the time we spend in rebellion just invites the demonic into our lives? Thank God for His grace! Thank God for His mercy! Thank God for His Son! Christ, Jesus!
