The Staff of Guidance

Psalms 23:4 AMP
[4] …Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.

“admonish
/ədˈmäniSH/
Admonish means to warn, caution, or advise someone against something firmly but often kindly, or to scold mildly. It combines expressing disapproval of a fault with encouraging better behavior, often serving as a gentle reproof”

The Staff (Guidance): The staff is used for gently guiding the sheep, keeping them on the right path, and lifting them out of Danger.

“John 10:12-14 AMP
[12] But the hired man [who merely serves for wages], who is neither the shepherd nor the owner of the sheep, when he sees the wolf coming, deserts the flock and runs away; and the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them. [13] The man runs because he is a hired hand [who serves only for wages] and is not concerned about the [safety of the] sheep. [14] I am the Good Shepherd, and I know [without any doubt those who are] My own and My own know Me [and have a deep, personal relationship with Me]—

Poor Shepherding results in a flock that can not receive proper correction. Abusive relations result in the inability of sheep to receive correction. A parent that takes frustrations out on children result in the same effect. “Shutting down” becomes a normal reaction. Shutting down absorbs and stores those abusive words and tones.
Resulting in a Stronghold.

Does this remind you of anyone? Has anyone treated you like a Hireling? Have people taken frustrations out on you? Has someone verbally abused you?

Let us begin with forgiving them, and their grievances against us! Let us release them to the Judgement of the Lord, and pray that they learn Guidance from the Great Shepherd.
Next, I speak to your heart and soul…
Be Strong, and COURAGEOUS!
You are Loved…you are Valued…Jesus LOVES YOU! He makes you the head, and not the tail!

If you ever need encouragement you will receive it from me…
And if you ever need correction, you will receive that from me too. 😉

Be Blessed!
