This week’s assignment I have to write a Sonnet.
I never thought the day would come when I would be such a scholar, but here I am….lol
Greater than myself, this calling in life
Husband to my Proverbs Thirty-one Wife
Servant to my Lord above every Lord
Hero to my son greatest of treasures
Warrior for His Kingdom of Heaven
Standard for my daughter my crown jewel
Steward of His gospel thy kingdom come
Love to my Neighbor as unto myself
Bride of His church wedding feast attendant
Shepherd for His flock growing disciples
Priest for the lost praying for his children
Brother of Honor laying down my life
Prophet to the widow hungry orphan
Man of God through His Son His Blood the Cross
I am not going to lie, I am pretty darn proud of how this turned out! The Holy Spirit is magnificent when we submit and let him flow! The purpose of this sonnet was to convey the defining characteristics of a Man of God, and how A Man is defined through everything and everyone other than just myself. A Man is only a Man unto others and for his God. Isolated and alone, we need God, and those whom God calls to set an example, to lead the charge. God made Eve so Adam could be the Man in her life, the fall of man is just that…Adam fell short of being the man she needed at the time she needed him to. My Sonnet is to define who we are to others, God cares about WHO we are, and that matters most to whom we are being. We were not created to be alone, so God directs us who to be to others.
Be Blessed!
