Examine yourself!

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 TLV
[23] For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you—that the Lord Yeshua, on the night He was betrayed, took matzah ; [24] and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you. Do this in memory of Me.” [25] In the same way, He also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in memory of Me.” [26] For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.

1 Corinthians 11:27-28 TLV
[27] Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. [28] But a man must examine himself, and then let him eat of the bread and drink from the cup.

I find this last part interesting, as it gets overlooked, and unspoken often
“A man must Examine himself” THEN let him eat.
This seems obvious that we are allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to us about what needs to be washed in the lord’s Blood. What still needs to be submitted? Where does the Lord’s grace and mercy need to flood our hearts? Where does the Lord’s will need to reign in our life? Is there some forgiveness needed? Some humility?

Be intentional, enter into his presence, invite Him in, ask him…”What resides in me that is not of you!” Trust him!!!

Let the Lord show you what needs to go, so that we may enter into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him today.

Be Blessed!
