Separation of church and state

monarch

noun

mon·arch ˈmä-nərk  -ˌnärk

Synonyms of monarch:

  • a person who reigns over a kingdom or empire:
  • : a sovereign ruler

Our founding fathers were fighting a war against a tyrannical King who lived above the laws & taxes he imposed upon his subjects. When the words “We the People” were penned, the spirit of a sovereign ruler above or beyond the people was only exclusive to our Creator, our Lord. “Endowed by their Creator” Our inalienable rights were not merely allowed to us by some benevolent God-Emperor, they were recognized as blessed rights afforded to all humankind. Since they were given only from a spiritual creator, they could only be taken away as such.

I believe we need all Christians to be 100% involved in politics, and to shy away is akin to cowardice. Christians always want to be benevolent, passive, or even pacified, but just being the Good little Christian is poison. Revelation 21:7-8 says that cowards will have their place in the “Lake of Fire” If the church does not vote, or does not take positions in government, then we leave the governance to people of any random morality. We have numerous school boards across our nation that are allowing sexualized content into children’s libraries, and I believe it stems from Christians not stepping up.

When we read Martin Luther’s doctrine of “Two Kingdoms” we see that he defines what we Christians inherently know as “the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the world.” We Christians live day to day with this model praying and fasting to bring the Kingdom of God to the Physical realm. The influence Christ has on our hearts and minds in His unseen kingdom should overflow into the kingdom of the seen, that influence should be the basis of all morality on earth, but…here we are.
